LIEUTENANT COLONEL RON DANIELS

 

 

Lieutenant Colonel Ronald M. Daniels (Retired) is the Senior Aerospace Instructor (SASI) for KS20131 at Washburn Rural High School.  Lieutenant Colonel Daniels served 24 years in the Air Force as a Space and Missile officer.  He served as a crewmember, instructor and evaluator with the Minute Man Three Intercontinental Ballistic Missile, The Global Positioning Satellite, The Defense Support Program Satellite, and various Space Control programs.  He also spent time training officers at all levels, commissioning over 2000 officers for the Air Force, Air Force Reserve, and Air National Guard.  He has commanded at both the flight and squadron levels and finished his Air Force career as Air National Guard Advisor to the commander of the Spaatz Center for Officer Education.  Lt Col Daniels holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Management from Southeast Missouri State University, a Master of Science in Aerospace Management from Embry-Riddle University, and is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force’s Air Command and Staff and Air War Colleges.  He is originally from Cape Girardeau Missouri and served in California, Montana, Colorado, Illinois, Tennessee, and retired in Alabama in 2013 to become the first SASI at Washburn Rural High School.  He is married and has two children.
